Spiridea 75 Almondol (ointment with almond oil) is intended for intensive lubrication and regeneration of even very dry, atopic skin. The high content of almond oil contributes to the healing effect of the ointment. It is also suitable for atopic, eczematous or psoriatic skin without age restrictions (from newborns to seniors).
Developed according to an original, more than 100-year-old pharmaceutical formula based on a high content of almond oil.
Thanks to its unique composition with 75% almond oil of the highest pharmaceutical quality, the ointment deeply softens and lubricates even the driest skin . The healing effect of the ointment is due to beneficial unsaturated fatty acids – oleic acid and linoleic acid, which are present in a high proportion in almond oil. In addition, it is enriched with vitamin E.
The combination of carefully selected raw materials and the technology used ensures excellent spreadability of the ointment, optimal absorption into the skin and a non-greasy finish after absorption . Almond oil creates a protective film that locks moisture in the skin and thus contributes to long-term hydration.
Since it is not washable with water, it provides longer-lasting skin protection even when swimming in pools, washing hands frequently or using disinfectants. It lubricates skin prone to cracking or flaking, soothes dry and tight areas and improves overall comfort even for very sensitive skin.

Spiridea 75 Almondol leave-in is designed to significantly lubricate and moisturize dry to very dry skin. It is particularly suitable for daily lubrication for people suffering from skin problems such as atopic dermatitis, eczema or psoriasis, but also for anyone with symptoms of dry skin.
Important ingredients are almond oil, petroleum jelly, and castor oil.
Almond oil is formulated into an ointment as a galenic form. In this form, it is applied to the skin better than oil alone and easily penetrates the stratum corneum (the horny layer of the skin). The regenerative effect of the ointment is due to beneficial unsaturated fatty acids – oleic acid and linoleic acid, which are represented in high proportions in almond oil.
- Linoleic acid strengthens the barrier function of the stratum corneum and thus compensates for transepidermal water loss (especially in atopic eczema, where transdermal water loss is pathologically increased).
- Oleic acid improves the penetration of other ingredients (active substances) into the stratum corneum .
Castor oil restores skin elasticity and deeply moisturizes. The ointment is also enriched with vitamin E (tocopherol), which, among other things, prevents its deterioration by oxidative processes. It does not contain added perfume, almond oil is responsible for the specific scent. It occludes adequately, which is welcome for extremely dry skin. Use is not limited by age. It is suitable for all patients with xerosis (from newborns to seniors) and also for people without skin diagnoses.

Every product in the Spiridea portfolio is carefully developed. Experienced pharmacists and leading German laboratories collaborate on the development of the formulas. The same was true for Spiridea Almond Oil Ointment. In this case, we drew inspiration from a 100-year-old recipe for almond ointment, which we innovated and modernized. We focused primarily on the ointment’s key ingredients: almond oil and the ointment base.
The almond oil is obtained by pressing and refining ripe almond seeds of the highest pharmacopoeial quality (Ph. Eur. – European Pharmacopoeia) sourced from California, using exclusively the species Prunus dulcis var. dulcis or var. amara, or a blend of these two varieties. Sweet almonds grown for food purposes are used, not bitter almonds, which are used for the extraction of aromatic substances.
The ointment base of Spiridea Ointments with Almond Oil is petroleum jelly. This was carefully selected and tested during the development process. We thoroughly examined several alternatives to petroleum jelly and tested their rheological properties (differences in viscosity) in various situations (at rest in the tube, when squeezed out of the tube, when spread on the skin) using state-of-the-art laboratory equipment. Although the different types of petroleum jelly appeared to be the same, their properties differed significantly. We therefore selected one that provides better stability for the entire ointment base, spreads more easily, and leaves a more pleasant sensation when applied to the skin.
