Spiridea Ointment with Almond Oil is designed to provide a strong emollient and moisturizing effect for dry to very dry skin. It is suitable for atopic, eczematous or psoriatic skin with no age limit (from newborns to the elderly). 

Thanks to its unique formula with 75% of the highest pharmaceutical grade almond oil, the ointment deeply softens and moisturizes even the driest skin. Beneficial unsaturated fatty acids ‒ oleic acid and linoleic acid, which constitute a large share of almond oil, contribute to the ointment’s nourishing effect. In addition, it is enriched with vitamin E. 

Its combination of carefully selected ingredients and the technology used ensures the remarkable ease of spreading, optimal absorption into the skin and a non-greasy finish after absorption of the ointment. The almond oil forms a protective film that locks moisture in the skin and thus enhances long-term hydration.

Non-washable Spiridea Ointment with Almond Oil is designed to provide a strong emollient and moisturizing effect for dry to very dry skin. It is particularly suitable for daily treatment for people suffering from skin problems such as atopic dermatitis, eczema or psoriasis, but also for anyone with the symptoms of dry skin.

Its important ingredients include almond oil, petrolatum and castor oil. 

Almond oil is formulated into ointment as a galenic form. This form makes it easier to apply on the skin than the oil proper and helps it penetrate more readily into the stratum corneum (the outer layer) of the skin. Beneficial unsaturated fatty acids ‒ oleic acid and linoleic acid, which constitute a large share of almond oil, contribute to the ointment’s regenerating effect.

• Linoleic acid strengthens the barrier function of the stratum corneum and thus compensates for transepidermal water loss (especially in atopic eczema, where transepidermal water loss is pathologically increased).
• Oleic acid improves the penetration of other ingredients (active substances) into the stratum corneum. 

In addition, the ointment is enriched with vitamin E (tocopherol), which, among other things, prevents its deterioration by oxidative processes. The ointment contains no added perfume, its specific fragrance is due to the almond oil. It provides adequate occlusion, which is a desirable effect for extremely dry skin. There are no age limits for its use. It is suitable for all xerosis patients (from newborns to the elderly), as well as for people with no diagnosed skin conditions.
